HOWTO_Streamtuner_and_Streamripper

Streamtuner and Streamripper are nice applications to use in conjunction with one another to record live streams from the internet. I'm not always able to listen to my favorite radio shows, so this comes in real handy.

Install Whats Needed

emerge streamtuner streamripper

To tell streamripper where to save the downloaded files open streamtuner and select Edit > Preferences.

gnome-terminal -x streamripper %q -d /mnt/Shared-Disk/Music/Radio-Streams -r -q

Obviously, change the directory to suit yours.

The "-r" option will create a relay server so the stream isnt' downloaded twice (in case you want to listen at the same time.)
