Installing the Tapioca framework, and user interface.

You will likely have to edit a couple files before it will allow your to begin.

File: /etc/portage/package.keywords
 net-im/tapioca-xmpp ~x86
 net-im/tapiocad ~x86
 net-libs/libjingle ~x86
 net-im/tapiocaui ~x86
 media-libs/farsight ~x86
 media-plugins/gst-plugins-farsight ~x86

At the very least you must set these use flags to have tapioca compile.

File: /etc/portage/package.use
media-libs/farsight jingle
media-plugins/gst-plugins-farsight -gsm jingle -jpeg2k -jrtplib -msn -yahoo
net-libs/libjingle -ilbc -ortp -speex

Now just emerge.

emerge -va tapioca-xmpp tapiocaui
These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order:
Calculating dependencies ... done!
[ebuild N ] net-im/tapiocaui-0.3.9
[ebuild N ] media-libs/gst-plugins-good-0.10.3
[ebuild N ] media-libs/gst-plugins-base-0.10.7
[ebuild N ] media-libs/gstreamer-0.10.6
[ebuild N ] media-libs/farsight- USE="-gnet jingle -sofia-sip"
[ebuild N ] media-plugins/gst-plugins-farsight- USE="-gsm jingle -jpeg2k -jrtplib -msn -yahoo"
[ebuild N ] net-im/tapioca-xmpp-0.3.9
[ebuild N ] net-libs/libjingle-0.3.9 USE="-ilbc -ortp -speex"
[ebuild N ] net-im/tapiocad-0.3.9

This took about ~20 minutes to compile

Using Tapioca

If it fails to launch, you may need to use dbus-launch

dbus-launch tapiocad-0.3
